Over a period of time, the New Zealand government has been introducing legislation to curb excessive exhaust smoke. This has now been finalised and passed into law. Emissions control is now a fairly high profile issue in the public eye. This measure has naturally had benefits for the fuel trade, and, combined with the introduction of lower sulphur fuel, the outlook for the trade can be considered optimistic.

At one stage DSCP concentrated on trucks, servicing fuel injection for the scania, mercedes and volvo agencies. But t imes have changed. DSCP has found that japanese import diesels now make up a large percentage of the work intake. However, there are still many dpa and inline pumps about and parts are readily obtainable. DSCP are delphi service agents and deal with dps and dpc pumps on a regular basis.
