The owners are selling the freehold title to their property on Poutu Road, just south of Dargaville. The property comprises the Aratapu Tavern, various outbuildings and garages, lawns and extensive car parking areas. There is a separate manager's apartment with two bedrooms and separate bathroom.

The Tavern building is constructed mainly of timber with painted timber cladding, wooden joinery, timber floors, painted interior walls and an iron roof. The chillers have concrete floors.

Bars
Aratapu Tavern has a spacious public bar with a double-sided brick fireplace, juke box, pool table, and darts board. The fireplace acts as a wall separating a smaller lounge bar from the public bar. The lounge bar has more comfortable seating and carpets, a large screen TV and local memorabilia and photos on the walls. Both bars are serviced by separate ladies and gents toilets.

There is a large outdoor covered-deck area with tables, chairs and umbrellas (for smokers) that leads off from the main bar and there is a separate casino-gambling room. There is also a fully landscaped private garden bar with verandah and decking. It has outside access, outside toilets, a covered area with lighting and separate bar facilities that are ideal for weddings, birthdays and private functions.

Accommodation
Aratapu Tavern & Hotel provides 7 guest bedrooms sleeping up to 16 guests. There is also accommodation for backpackers. Bedrooms are furnished with a mixture of queen size, double, and twin beds. The Queen room has an ensuite bathroom. There is a wash-basin in each room as well as shared facilities (two bathrooms with vanities and baths with shower over, three toilets, and a shower room) at the end of the accommodation corridor.

Conference Lounge:
There is a comfortable lounge room, called the Oak Room. The walls are lined with oak panels and the floorboards are polished oak. The room has a detailed plaster ceiling, a fireplace and a colour TV. It is used as a private lounge for hotel guests and as a venue for small conferences and meetings.
