Offered for reluctant sale, a fully Licenced Cafe for sale situated in an award winning Garden Centre, just 4 Km from the heart of Waikanae, on the beautiful Kapiti Coast and a mere 2 Km from a safe and sandy beach. We have had this business for over 3 years and it is time to get on with our next project. An "A Grade" certificate (exceptionally clean and hygeinic) was awarded to this Cafe on the first visit. Turnover figures have improved markedly during our time here. Current turnover is $320,000 Plus. Gross profit for FY 07 was around $84,000 and Net Profit about $50,000. Catering is a healthy add-on and we regularly cater for local Funerals, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Events and other special occasions. This side of the business has shown phenominal growth.

Products / Services

This is a 7 day Cafe business for sale, offering breakfasts, lunches and the standard Cafe fare, hopefully with our flavour. A solid, regular clientele attend this cafe, some travelling many miles for their favourite snack or meal.

Coffee is Piazza D'Oro (this may be changed by any future owner if desired) and is very well received by our Coffee loving clients.

A new innovation is the display and sale of local produce, such as Olive Oil, Chutneys and Spreads and specialty breads.

New tables and recovered chairs enhance the inside of this cafe. A Pot Belly stove is lit during the colder months and a good supply of firewood has been delivered for this year. We have some 22 chairs inside the Cafe and seating for a further 45 or so outside, in 2 areas, a Deck and a Shaded area.

A relatively new Barbeque is situated just outside the kitchen and gets regular use on busy days, cooking breakfasts, fritters and the like. The Health authorities have given their blessing to the use of this.

Other innovations such as "local" whitebait fritters are on the menu during the season.

Summer 9:00am till 4:30 pm during the week and till 5:00pm weekends

Winter 9:00am till 4:00 pm during the week and till 4:30pm weekends

Stock

A stocktake was carried out at the end of March 2007. This revealed a total of about $8,500 worth of stock being held.

We attempt to keep our suppliers to a minimum and order on a regular basis. Stock levels are kept to such a level that we could survive for a long while should we not be able to order.

Fresh produce is obtained locally on a daily basis.
