Lebanese Bakery & Takeaways Business For Sale
Wellington, New Zealand

Pita Bread, pizza and delicious Lebanese food
Miramar is famous as the home of Peter Jackson's film production company and epic films such as the "Lord of the Rings" and "King Kong".
Miramar is also famous as the home of Weta Workshops and the special effects that are so much part of Peter Jackson's films. Both studios employ lots of staff who often work around the clock.
So its no great surprise when the Alamir Bakery in Miramar gets phone orders for Lebanese food to be delivered to one or other of the Studios - it's just that the orders run into a lot of food and many hundreds of dollars.
Alamir Bakery offers a unique combination of commercial bakery for traditional Lebanese pita bread and a takeaway bar specialising in popular, everyday, Lebanese foods.
About a third of the floor space in the Bakery is taken up with a fully automatic Bramco Bakri bakery machine which is operated from a separate room. The Bramco Bakri was designed and built in Lebanon (see http://www.bakrico.com/machinery.html for more information) and installed at Miramar for the preparation of Arabic pita bread. The bakery machine can also cook Western breads and a variety of Arabic pastries and Western confectionary.

Alamir Bakery currently prepares two sizes of pita bread, although the machinery can produce any size up to 40 cm in diameter and from 2 mm to 10 mm thick. The baking machine is usually operated on two days of the week and can produce up to 10,000 bread packets per day. On occasion, the machine has operated for up to four days to fill special orders.
Alamir Bakery has recently shifted to new larger 255 square metre premises. All their regular customers plus many new customer have commented positively on the larger premises which has seating for 30 people.
The new kitchen prepares Lebanese takeaway foods such as kebabs and Iskandar. Traditional pizzas are also cooked to order in a large gas-fired Bakri pizza oven. They have updated their menu, adding new meals such as wedges and nachos and have recently installed an espresso machine so fresh coffee is now available. The Bakery also sells a selection of Lebanese food ingredients for those who want to cook at home. There is now a huge selection of imported dry, canned and bottled goods from Lebanon which the owner personally selected on a recent visit.
Alamir Bakery is ideally located in Miramar with easy customer access and heaps of customer parking. The business is surrounded by high-interest retail shops. This is a perfect combination as customers can get food, drink, and entertainment all at one easy location.
The business sale is conditional on employing the operator of the Bramco Bakri baking machine. Having an expert baker as part of the package means the business could be operated by an absentee owner, or by an owner who wants to work only part-time.
