One double room has an ensuite bathroom. Other guests use share bathroom facilities comprising 2 showers, 2 toilets, and 2 wash basins. All double rooms are fully made up. Beds in Dorm Rooms are not made-up and guests provide their own linen (bedding is available for the Dorm Rooms on request). The Lodge has a large communal kitchen-dining area, a lounge with a log fire, in-room heating, and a separate TV lounge with a video library. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking facilities.

Freehold premises The owner is selling the freehold title to land (1244 square metres) and the two-storey Lodge building (300 square metres) at 15 Deal Street in central Kaikoura. The timber frame building has painted weatherboard cladding, wooden floors and an iron and butanol roof. Some of the interior plasterboard walls are painted, others are wallpapered.
