Kapitea Ridge is also a popular venue for small functions, dinners, and weddings. The property is only 15 minutes from Hokitika airport, making it the ideal venue for company conferences. At present, about one million tourists pass Kapitea Ridge on State Highway 6 as they travel to and from Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. Tourist numbers are projected to steadily increase, particularly eco-tourists who come to visit the South West New Zealand World Heritage Area.
