Henderson, West Auckland, New Zealand

Where Friends and Flavours come Alive

  • “I would say it's one of the best restaurants in West Auckland”.
  • “We have been visiting Moka for over 5 years it has been and still is consistently first class”.
  • “This restaurant was highly recommended by friends who, like ourselves, are experienced foodies. It was every bit as good as they said. Food, excellent, service, expert and knowledgeable.”

- some of the many reviews from http://www.dineout.co.nz/ and http://forum.time2dine.co.nz/ …. and the testimonials continue, all supporting the cuisine and great service offered by Moka Restaurant in Henderson.

Since its inception in 1998, Moka has been a restaurant of excellence, renowned for its high quality food with bold flavours and subtle overtones. The restaurant is also renowned for its warm and inviting ambience, attentive service and sensible prices.

Comfortable seating and elegant decor

Moka has been noticed by Metro Magazine for Best of the West and several other local achievements and awards. Most recently, Moka has been the recipient of the 2007 and 2008 New Zealand Beef and Lamb Hallmark Awards of Excellence and was 2006 Finalist in Specialty Food and Beverage Category for Auckland’s Top Shops Awards.

Moka Restaurant is located in Henderson’s Central Business District, close to shops and office buildings. This is an ideal setting for a cup of great coffee at the outdoor tables, or for business lunches, social events, and family get-togethers. Moka Restaurant is fully licensed and is a favourite venue for intimate dining during the evening.

Intimate dining and attentive staff

The restaurant has a diversified income stream from on-site sales of food, beverages, beers, wines, and spirits and from out-catering services. Turnover exceeds $540,000 with a healthy net profit after wages (but before depreciation) of 11%.

Moka Restaurant has come on to the market due to family reasons. It is being sold on a walk-in walk-out basis with everything in place for the new owner to begin trading from the first day. This is an award-wining business that is being offered at a realist sale price. Our recommendation – don’t delay.

Award wining food and service with guest satisfaction the top priority

Moka’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus offer fresh, simple, and seasonal cuisine that keeps an ever-increasing number of patrons coming back for more. Beef and lamb mains are a specialty and are available at lunch and at dinner. For an up-to-date menu, click on http://www.moka.co.nz/index_files/Page495.htm

Henderson and West Auckland

Henderson and its suburban area is part of Waitakere City, a sprawling area in West Auckland that extends from the upper Waitemata Harbour to the Tasman Sea, and from Massey in the north to the Manukau Harbour in the South. Waitakere City, is the fifth largest city in New Zealand with Henderson and New Lynn being the principal commercial areas.

The main shopping centre in Henderson, West City, has recently been totally renovated and now has a total of 83 boutiques and shops. The Henderson Heritage Trail comprises two walking tracks that take visitors through the history of the area dating back to the 1840’s.

Waitemata City offers a unique lifestyle. On the West side are the magnificent bush-clad Waitakere Ranges and the open wild beaches of Whatipu, Karekare, Piha and Bethells. Henderson Valley and the Kumeu and Huapai areas have historic orchards and vineyards with many wineries offering cellar door sales as well as restaurants with courtyard and garden settings for alfresco dining.
