Freehold Hotel Business For Sale
Timaru, New Zealand

A Country Pub in Town
Timaru is the main service centre for South Canterbury and North Otago.
This is a bustling port city with a fascinating mix of old and historic buildings, new town planning and a very positive future. Timaru has several schools with long traditions, a popular Polytechnic, hospital, art galleries, and great shopping. The city celebrates the rose with public and private rose gardens, street plantings and an annual Rose Festival.
Timaru is an ideal stopping point for tourists travelling south from Christchurch and north from Dunedin. The city is also the gateway to the McKenzie Basin with summer boating, fishing and tramping and winter snow sports.
The Carlton Hotel on Timaru’s main street has been providing accommodation and hospitality services to locals and travellers since 1936. This is a traditional kiwi hotel with downstairs bar, dining room and service areas and upstairs bedrooms for short and long-stay guests.
